The Martin D-X2E Billy Strings draws inspiration from Billy’s affection for his pre-war D-28, while also providing a more user-friendly option for both fans and players. It retains the distinctive 25” scale length and slimmer nut width of its high-end counterpart, enabling easier execution of fast and intricate lines while maintaining a comfortable playing experience. Constructed with durable Brazilian rosewood-patterned HPL back and sides, and a solid spruce top, this Dreadnought delivers a powerful and resonant tone that is suitable for both traditional and contemporary acoustic styles. Nickel open gear tuners, an ebony fingerboard adorned with faux abalone inlay, and a style 28 rosette add a touch of classic elegance.
Martin E1 electronics and a built-in tuner ensure that the guitar is ready for any stage performance. Complete with a rugged and reliable hemp softshell case, the D-X2E Billy Strings embodies Billy’s passion for pushing boundaries and seamlessly blending genres. Each guitar comes with a custom paper label featuring Billy’s pre-printed signature and graphic.
